# Snap Settings

A simple guide to controlling movement, rotation, and scale increments in Sandbox Studio. Open Snap Settings, change the movement increment, test the result, and apply snapping to other transform tools.

### **Step 1: Open Snap Settings**

Select the magnet icon in the toolbar above the scene. The available snapping values will appear.

### **Step 2: Test the current movement increment**

Select an asset and move it with the gizmo. With the movement value set to 0.1 m, the asset moves in 0.1 m increments.

### **Step 3: Change the movement value**

Replace the movement increment with 5.

### **Step 4: Move the asset again**

Drag the move gizmo. The object now snaps in 5 m increments instead of moving continuously.

### **Step 5: Choose the transform setting**

Snap Settings can control movement, rotation, and scale. Set the increment for the transform you plan to use.

### **Step 6: Test scale snapping**

Activate the Scale tool and adjust the asset. The scale changes according to the selected snap value.

| **TIP** Use larger increments for broad, regular placement and smaller increments for fine adjustments. |

## **What You've Done**

Your selected transform tools now change assets in predictable increments, making repeated placement and alignment easier.
