Video Link:[How to change editor FOV.mp4](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OwWNWONlITxwY9qstSIAPWjg8jnBUCIW/view?usp=drive%5Flink)

A simple guide to changing and resetting the editor field of view in Sandbox Studio. Open the View menu, adjust the FOV value, and restore the default view when needed.

Field of view, or FOV, changes how wide or narrow the editor camera view appears.

### **Step 1: Open the View menu**

Select the View button in the toolbar above the scene.

### **Step 2: Change the FOV**

Find the FOV value. Drag left or right to adjust it, or type the value you want. Watch the scene while changing it so you can judge the result.

### **Step 3: Restore the default view**

Select the back arrow beside the FOV control to reset the value and return to the default editor view.

| **TIP** A wider FOV shows more of the scene, while a narrower FOV gives a more focused view. |
| -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

## **What You've Done**

The editor camera now uses your chosen FOV, and you can restore the default at any time with the reset arrow.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://studio-docs.sandbox.game/the-editor/how-to-change-editor-fov.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
